Members are eligible to participate in a VOLUNTARY plan that provides supplemental benefits to members unable to work due to illness or injury and away from work for more than ninety (90) days.
This plan, commonly referred to as the Aflac plan, will have an open enrollment period from November 7th through December 18th, 2020, for members who wish to participate. Members who enroll during this period will become active participants effective January 1st, 2021.
Participants in the BMWED-Aflac plan will opt to make an additional contribution as part of their monthly dues to take part.
