  • Statement of Skills & Experience Form
    Updated On: Mar 22, 2022

Use this form to help us create an up-to-date database of our members' skills and experience, information which will help us fight against the continued use of outside contractors on the railroads. Too often, railroads use vague excuses that our BMWED members lack training, experience, or equipment to do the work they contract out. When our claim gets to an arbitrator, we need to prove that these excuses aren't based in facts and that you have the skills and experience needed to do safe, reliable work on the railroad!

Submit one (or more) of these statements if:

    • You've ever worked on a special railroad project (diamond installation, bridge renewal, building renovation, special machine operation, etc.).
    • You've ever done similar work outside the railroad (concrete work, surveying, special machine operation, etc.).
    • You have unique training or certifications (Plumber's license, welding certificates, etc.).

With your statements, we can convince the neutral Arbitrators of the NRAB that the Carrier's aren't being up-front when they claim their MOW forces can't perform the tasks they choose to contract out. We need you to help us make the case, so fill out your statements and get them to us at the union office!
