3 Unions Reach Tentative Agreement - Others Remain in Bargaining
Posted On: Aug 243, 2022
Since the PEB’s recommendations came out, BMWED has returned to bargaining with the NCCC and each railroad to find a voluntary resolution and a tentative contract. Issues surrounding the exact way the PEB’s recommendations affect away from home expenses for each property have been discussed. There have been no major breakthroughs in negotiations at this time.
Three Unions, the BRC, TCU, and IAM, have all reached Tentative Agreements based on PEB recommendations. BLET, SMART-TD, and other rail Unions remain in negotiations. According to the BRS, the NCCC has rejected that Union’s efforts at further negotiations based on the PEB report.
As the situation develops, we will provide more information as we can.
