
In the US States where members of the Burlington System Division live and work, 15 Senators voted NO to H. Con. Res. 119, denying paid sick leave to rail workers. This is despite the Senate's imposing terms ending our bargaining dispute and our status as "essential workers" and Federal contractors by the railroads.
We have invited each of these Senators to participate in a Virtual Town Hall with our Members, where they can justify their decision. As these Senators respond, we will arrange for Town Halls and inform our members or convey these Senators' refusals to speak to their rail labor constituents.
