Information regarding pay raises in BNSF's digital systems
Updated On: Jan 18, 2023
Many of our members have called in with concerns regarding BNSF's update to rates of pay for the new pay rates effective January 16th.
BNSF is updating their payroll and timekeeping systems to account for the new rates of pay, but their systems can't fully implement the information (making it viewable to employees looking at information online), until BNSF "closes" the first-half January pay period. See the message below, from BNSF Timekeeping, for their response when we reached out:
"The new rates can’t go into the system until we close [first-half payroll] January and then have to update them. We are closing FH January tomorrow night at 7 PM and then [we] will start working on rates immediately after that well into the next morning on Wednesday.
They will have to be updated in the production system which will take most of the day on the 18th. The rates in the system will be regrossed back to 1/16/23. Please tell your employees to be patient and we will ensure they are accurate and up to date through the steps that are needed to ensure this is done correctly."
Our members will receive their pay raises in line with the proper effective date. BNSF's digital systems are getting updated and will account for the delay in processing the change.
